Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

When you first see this little treat you are confused it looks like a regular cheese ball from the outside and you wonder why there is chocolate graham crackers & vanilla waffers surrounding it instead of the salty crackers you are accustomed to, on closer inspection you find that there is chocolate in the cheese ball, apprehensively you take a cracker and spread some cheesy delight on top of it, you take one bite and you are sold.  Addicted to this thing they call the chocolate chip cheese ball!  Try it. Love it. Crave it. Can't get enough!



Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Time: 15 minutes hands on 3 hours to chill
Yields: 1 cheese ball

1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter (no substitutions), softened
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
2 TBS brown sugar
3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans


In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy.
Gradually add sugars; beat just until combined.  Stir in chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.  Place cream cheese mixture on a large
piece of plastic wrap; shape into a ball.  Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Just before serving roll cheese ball in pecans.  Serve with graham crackers, nilla wafers, etc.
