Ground Beef Stew

If you know your not going to have time to prepare dinner tonight, this recipe will be perfect for you!  You can prepare it in the morning and have it all ready by dinner time.  Perfect for rainy days like these...mmmm!

Ground Beef Stew
Servings: 12
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 5 hours

1 pound ground beef
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup chopped onion
6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 (16 oz.) package baby carrots
3 cups of water
2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 (6 oz.) can Italian tomato paste

1. In a large skillet, combine beef, garlic and chopped onion, cook over medium heat until no longer pink.

2. In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the next 8 ingredients. Stir in ground beef mixture.

3. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours.  Stir in soup and tomato paste; cover and cook for 1 hour longer or until heated through.
