You can throw out the Manwich stuff! Here is an amazing recipe for home made Sloppy Joes. It will take a little time to cook. However, it freezes very well. So make up a big batch and freeze half.
Home Made Sloppy Joes

Serves: 12
Time: 1 Hour 15 Minutes
2lbs. Ground Beef
1 large Green Pepper
2 can Diced Tomatoes
2 Small or 1 Large can Tomato Sauce
1 can Tomato Paste
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tsp. Celery Salt
2 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tsp. Onion Salt or Powder
1/2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
3 Bay Leaves (discard after cooking)
Cook beef and green onion over medium heat, drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings. Bring to a boil and cover. Reduce heat and cook on low for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook 30-40 minutes or until thick. Discard bay leaves.
